Introducing Myself

Hi there, I'm Rien. There isn't much to know about me that could specifically separate my my identity from some other people on this busy, busy planet. Nonetheless, It's worth telling you a little about me if you've come to this page.

I am a self-taught artist based from Bradford, England, of mixed heritage. I'm pretty average height, and I either talk too much or too little. In terms of what you could consider more 'important' biographical information about me, I think the simplest way to put it is that my creative endeavours have always developed from a need to analyse, and to look for logic in chaos.

I particularly like to delve into philosophical and sociological concepts of conflict, both in the lives of the many and in the few. I want to use my art to explore multi-dimensional concepts of the human experience. It's pretty hard, but I think I'm getting there.

Art, in my opinion, is so widely variable in it's capabilities and forms. I find it hard myself to stick to one medium or theme with my work as a result of that. Although, I do find that I prefer to go towards conceptual artwork, with philosophical ideas. Outside of visual art, I also write.
